On our way to Floriday, we made a pit stop in Bossier City to share a Nawlin's SnoBall and play with some old friends - Cheryl, Dave, and Brody (who, Mira informed me today, is her best friend)! At one point, Brody reached over and stirred Mira's snocone for her since she was having a hard time getting any to come up the straw!
Brody and Mira have so much fun playing together! I think they get along well because they are both very verbal, so they are actually capable of carrying on a conversation! They are also very active and silly - as you can see....
Brody's got such a great smile!!
Mira got a big kick hanging out with some "big girls".
Really miss being closer to these guys!
After Bossier City, we ended day one in Jackson, MS. We ate some great veggie burgers at Cool Al's then got a little swimming in at the hotel before calling it a night.
On Day 2, we stopped halfway in Mobile, AL. We found one letterbox and searched for a second with no luck. However, it was hidden at a pretty cool landmark - the USS Alabama. So, we did get to explore some interesting vessels...
Throwing some beads on the grave marker of Old Joe Cain
Then on to find the stamp! Success!!
Mira is a pro at "stamping in"!
Trying to ring the bell - it proved too big...
Captain M D Wolfe
We grabbed a bite to eat at the Sunflower Cafe before hitting the road and ending the day in Sandestin!!
That's quite a burger!!
