Holy Cow! It's been over a year and a half since my last post...I almost forgot how to log into Blogger!

I would love to re-cap the past 18 months, but that just isn't going to happen, so I'll jot down a few highlights (in non-chronological order).

  • We went to Disney again this summer (2014) - this time with our good friends, the Starks. We had such a blast!
  • Kenny has done an amazing job with the multi-family investments. We now have seven properties. One is in Colorado Springs, CO, so we have been up to Colorado quite a bit this year!
  • I finally got restarted in Krav Maga and earned my Yellow belt just a month or so ago. I was very proud of this achievement - the test was 4 hours long and non-stop!! It culminated with a "doggy pile" - four people with bags threw themselves on top of me (laying flat, face down), and I had to fight my way out of there!
  • Kenny has taken up triathlons. He has done two in the past year and placed in the top 10-ish of his age group both times! He likes it a lot and plans on doing more.
  • Mira is reading now! I am still through-the-roof proud and excited about this milestone! She is reading at a mid-2nd grade level! This summer, she is doing a Read-a-Thon to raise funds for a literacy-based organization.
  • Kenny and I are about to start our 3rd year co-teaching OWL at church. Mira is about to move up to the K-1 classroom. It will be a big transition for her since she has been in the Pre-K room for a few years now! And, she will start in the sanctuary then walk to her classroom from there rather than starting in her classroom.
  • Mira's 5th birthday party was Dinosaur themed. Recently, we had an art party just for fun.
  • I've been doing CrossFit for a year now, and I still love it!! I am toying with the idea of entering an Olympic weightlifting competition!
  • Mira is also doing CF and is about to re-start gymnastics again (took just a short break), and she is signed-up for her first season of T-ball. It starts in September.
Also, I wrote this post a long time ago and never published it, so the publish date is maybe not exactly correct - had to guesstimate based on the content.
