Cinderella Breakfast and an AK-47

Sheila invited us to attend a Cinderella Breakfast with her! The Plano West High School theatre group was putting it on in conjunction with their upcoming production of "Cinderella."

We knew Mira would love it, and we decided to join the fun and dress up, too! It was pretty funny - we were the only adults dressed up. We got lots of oohs and aahs over our dresses, and a handful of little princesses asked for our autograph! Ha!! We happily obliged!

I got an old bridesmaid dress and a very large nightgown plus the perfect shoes at a local resale shop! I totally lucked out!

These are the "Before" shots:

Here we all are dressed up in our princess attire and ready to go! Mira is wearing a Cinderella dress that LaLa and Avi wore when they were this size!! If fits her perfectly now, so I think we'll have to buy a new one for Disney next Summer! She especially enjoyed carrying the little purse that matched the dress. I let her wear my pearl necklace and my tiara that I wore on my wedding day! She wore her tiny pearl bracelet that she got from Nanny and Pappy on her first Christmas.

As soon as we arrived, we ran into one of the little girls from Mira's dance class, Cheylin.

There was the breakfast with all the princesses, queens, kings, and princes floating about giving out autographs and posing for pictures. The room was full of tiny princesses  - SO adorable! Mira enjoyed the chocolate doughnut and "Princess Punch" - hot-pink, sugary concoction - what's not to love!?

On the other hand, Mira was not very excited about being too close to the costumed teenagers at first. Toward the end, she had relaxed quite a bit though.

After the breakfast, we made way to the auditorium where they put on a preview of the upcoming play. Mira really enjoyed watching the show - she laughed out loud and clapped furiously at all the right parts. Then we all got to go up on stage and see all the set pieces up close and meet more of the characters. The carriage was phenomenal!

Then it was on to facepainting, a craft (decorating the picture frame that would hold your photo with Cinderella), and Princess Bingo. Mira thoroughly enjoyed all of these activities and then the popcorn that ended the morning.

I'm so glad we went! We all had such a good time!! Thank you Sheesa!!!!

Meanwhile, Jim and Kenny went to a gun range and shot an AK-47! I was a little jealous, but definitely would chose spending that time with Mira again! I guess they didn't take any pictures...
