Mudbugs

We took Mira to her 2nd Mudbugs game last night. She really liked it and had fun playing with her friends Cate and Sullie (the Koveleskie's went, too). She ate lots of Skittles, stayed up WAY past her bedtime, and was very exited....obviously, this ended in a HUGE tantrum. It was the best fit she's thrown thus far, but surely not the best she'll ever throw; she's just learning how to really do it, so I'm sure she will be practicing a lot over the next few months.

But, other than that (and a horrible, horrible woman who sat in front of us), we had a great time, and Mira really enjoyed seeing the ice, the Zambonie, Clawed, Lil' Bugger, and the rest of the Mudbug action. We got a hockey puck to throw onto the ice after the 2nd period (we didn't win - Mira threw it in the stands below us and not actually onto the ice), and we got a bag of mudbugs to throw onto the ice after each goal scored by the Mudbugs. We were sitting behind one of the goals, so the net sort of prevented that from being to successful either. But, the kids enjoyed winging the plastic crawfish!

Mira like waving at Clawed but definitely did not want to go see him or get her picture with him (same as Santa).

In the first period, when Kenny started yelling at the Mudbugs to do this or stop doing that, Mira became his little parrot yelling at the top of her lungs and with great emotion, "Get 'em!" and "Shoot! Shoot! SHOOT!" and "Get it out of there, guys!!" and so on, and so forth. It was pretty entertaining and I don't think Kenny even noticed she was repeating everything he was saying; good thing he kept it clean!!

New Mudbugs tee and a hockey puck from the Booster Club - we're set!

Look Daddy!! The Zambonie!

They're totally into it...

Clawed!

Gettin' doped up on sugar.

Gettin' doped up on sugar.

Sullie went and got a hug from Clawed!

I just realized that I didn't blog the first Mudbugs game, so here are a few pics from a couple of years ago...
She was more interested in us and the rest of the people the first time (she was only 2 months old!).

She didn't mind having her picture taken with Clawed and Lil' Bugger

We've changed!

We went with the Montgomery's, and Mason really got into the spirit wearing his mudbugs costume!

Oh my goodness- where does the time go?! Little Mason and Mira were sooo tiny! I love the pic of you and Mira from last night! Looks like fun was had by all of you. Mason throws some pretty good tantrums too, and I hear it only gets worse!!
