Potatoes, Tomatoes, and Blueberries - Oh My!

We started quite the container garden today! We planted potatoes, onions, tomatoes (some seeds and some baby plants), strawberries, pumpkins, bell peppers (some seeds and some baby plants), and blueberries! Also, our blackberry vine is already growing like a.....well, blackberry vine - super-fast!! Can't wait to enjoy the fruits (and veggies) of our labor!!

Mira had to get a new Abby Cadabby gardening kit, and she was sure to use all the tools to help plant everything!

Stirring the starter soil with her new spade.

Filling the starter cups for the pumpkins and bell pepper.

In go the seeds.

More soil on top!

Mini herb garden on the kitchen table.

Basil and Oregano

Bell Pepper plants; tomato, bell pepper and pumpkin seed starters; and potatoes (in the giant, seamingly empty pot).

Potatoes require an interesting method - this pot will eventually be full of dirt and potatoes (fingers crossed)!

We spied a couple of little lizards basking in the warm sun today.

Many more pictures and updates to come over the next few seasons....
